Privacy Policy

Ads by Rex ("Rex", "I", "we") runs free ad teardowns and paid ad services for local businesses. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and the choices you have. It's written in plain English — the same way I write the teardowns.
Information I collect
I only collect what I need to do the work you ask for:
- What you send me. When you request a teardown through the form on this site or by emailing rex.founder@adsbyrex.com, I receive your business name, email address, website, the rough ad-spend range you select, and anything else you choose to include. Form submissions are delivered straight to my inbox (via the email service Resend) and are not stored in any database.
- Advertising account data. If you become a paying client, you may grant me read-only access to your Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads, analytics, or related accounts so I can audit them. I only access what's needed to do the audit, I don't make changes to your accounts, and access is only with your permission.
- Publicly available data. For a free teardown I may review your live ads, website, and other publicly visible information — no account access required.
How I use it
- To record your free teardown video and reply to you.
- To deliver any audit (one-time or recurring) you hire me for.
- To send you reports, updates, and replies related to that work.
I do not sell your information, and I don't send marketing emails to people who didn't ask to hear from me.
How I share it
I keep your information private. I only share it with the service providers I use to run the business and do your work — for example email (Zoho, Resend), website hosting (Vercel), advertising platforms (Google, Meta), and payment processing (Stripe) — and only to the extent needed. I may also disclose information if required by law. I never sell or rent your data.
Advertising platforms
When I review your accounts for an audit, your data is also subject to the privacy terms of those platforms, including Google and Meta. Read-only access to client ad accounts is used solely to provide the agreed audit.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising data
To review Meta ad accounts for an audit I access them with read-only permission through Meta Business tools (and, where applicable, the Meta Marketing API in read-only). When you hire me for an audit:
- How access works. You grant my Meta Business read-only ("View performance") access to your ad account through Business Manager. I don't take edit control, and I never ask for your Facebook password or personal login.
- What I read and store. Campaign structure and performance metrics — spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and similar insights — stored only to produce your audit report. I do not collect your customers' personal information from your Pixel or make changes to your account.
- How it's used. Solely to deliver the audit you've agreed to. I do not sell, rent, or share Meta data with third parties, and I don't use it to build profiles or for any purpose beyond your audit.
- Revoke & delete. You can remove my access at any time in your Meta Business Settings. On revocation or request I delete the stored campaign data for your account, except records I'm legally required to keep.
My use of Meta data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
Data retention
I keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. If you'd like your information deleted, just ask and I'll remove what I'm not legally required to keep.
Your choices
- Ask what information I hold about you.
- Ask me to correct or delete it.
- Revoke any account access you've granted, at any time, directly in the platform.
To make any of these requests, email rex.founder@adsbyrex.com.
Cookies & analytics
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies and stores no personal data in your browser. It uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service that records aggregate page statistics (like visit counts) without identifying you or following you across sites.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated by email.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information I hold about you and why.
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal/tax exceptions).
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — I don't sell or share it, so there's nothing to opt out of.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email rex.founder@adsbyrex.com.
